"Image Portal A/V picks up where traditional DAM solutions fall short when it comes to effectively managing their growing libraries of digital video and audio clips. We have received very enthusiastic customer feedback following the first installs of Image Portal A/V. Customers immediately appreciate its enhanced interface, as well as its innovative features which enhance collaborative editing, streamline repurposing, and automate the distribution of digital assets." said Jason Wehling, NetXposure's VP of Technology.
"Image Portal A/V does more than let us store, archive, locate, transform and process all our still and moving image assets in an easy-to-use Web-based interface, it gives us the power to really put them to work in our digital production environment," said Lee Faulkner, Media Director of Yale University.
The latest addition to the Image Portal family of Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions, Image Portal A/V is built specifically for Mac OS X and utilizes QuickTime imaging technology to deliver cutting-edge video conversion tools and automated podcasting. In addition to previewing both audio and video clips, Image Portal A/V's capabilities include keyframe display, the option to select thumbnails from keyframes, and the ability to transcode multiple formats including MOV, 3G, DV, AVI, MPEG-4, WAV and FLC. With built-in support for Podcasting of both audio and video files, assets can be designated for podcasting, then made available on RSS 2.0 feeds that can be used by iTunes and other podcast-enabled clients. Image Portal A/V is an enterprise class, work-in-progress DAM system utilizing a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Other notable features include Web Services, WebDAV, LDAP support, versioning, auto-tasking, and statistics reporting.
