NetXposure IO is an app that you can install on your local Windows or Mac Desktop allowing for the automatic synchronization of files between the remote Digital Asset Management system and the local file system.
This simple function provides for a very efficient and effective tool for working with the DAM completely unencumbered by having to interact with it directly. You can simply modify files locally, and those changes are sent to the DAM automatically — including imports and versions. Conversely, any changes in the DAM are then pushed back to your local folders and files managed by NetXposure IO app.
Collaboration
But take this a step further: add in multiple users who now can all collaborate on project files with the help of NetXposure IO. One user creates a new file in a shared folder; that file is then synchronized with all the other users participating in that project with NetXposure IO syncing.
Drag and Drop Importing
NetXposure IO can be used manually for drag-and-drop importing. You simply drag files, folders, or even entire nested hierarchies of folders and files onto a category tree — NetXposure IO handles the rest. Folders automatically turn into categories in the remote Digital Asset Management system, and files are ingested as assets. You can even tag your assets with metadata on import.
Composite Files
Additionally NetXposure can make working with composite files much easier. For example, when working in Adobe InDesign, you might have a nested folder called “Images” where all the placed artwork files are located. This relative file linking can easily be managed locally, and NetXposure IO seamlessly (and painlessly) handles the auto-synchronization of those files. It can even handle the versioning of modifications over time, tracking the project changes as needed.
